If you're a woman you should get one. If you're a man you should already have one!

I received one of the Telly Terminate devices as a Christmas present last year. Obviously my girlfriend thinks that I'm some sort of trouble causer or mischief maker to have bought me such a creation. The first thing I can say about this device is... what utter genius!! I used to have a watch that I could change channels and turn off the T.V with when I was a child, and it was great fun, when it worked. It's nice to have a gadget like this so compact that it can be used unnoticed and doesn't cost a lot of money, because the watch remote I had cost £50 and didn't live up to it's claims. There is no problem with the Thumbs Up Telly Terminate Device working on televisions other than turning back on some of the older rear projection T.Vs can be a bit fiddly as sometimes they don't seem to recognise the device. This isn't really a problem as not many people still have rear projection televisions that I am aware of, although I have only used it on about 30 or so T.Vs altogether. You do need to be quite close to the T.V that you are turning off, and the furthest I've been able to get it to work is about 5 metres, so you will definitely be under suspicion if you use it on your mother in-laws television while she's watching Coronation Street or some other mind rot like that. The device itself feels quite flimsy, so if you put it on your keys, and you drop them, there would be a good chance it will break. The Telly Terminate Device is also an LED torch, which is not only handy, but also makes for a great disguise if you get rumbled trying take away someone's viewing privileges. Everyone loves a bit of fun and you can have hours of fun annoying your friends, family and the in-laws with this gadget, and at roughly £10 it's a bargain. My only regret is that I didn't own one during X Factor. At least I have one in time for Britain's Got Talent!

        A fun little gadget

Ladies if the recent tv coverage of the world cup is still driving you nuts, turning you into a footie widow, or generally just getting on your nerves, then you might be interested in a handy little gadget like the one a friend gave me. Its a cheeky little number that can do more to get your mans attention than your flirtiest LBD (little black dress!). ********************************************************** It comes in sleek matt black, its curvaceous, rotund in fact, nice to handle, works almost every time and is guaranteed to get a girl noticed. Its a naughty little Telly Terminate gadget that can get your blokes attention quicker than you telling him he just drank the last beer! He won't know whats hit him when mid way through the 3rd footie, cricket, rugby, tennis, or darts game of the weekend, his beloved 42 inch wide screen tv fades to black! ********************************************************** Aww, imagine the poor wee fellas face when it happens minutes later just when his team are about to score! I have found this gadget can work on many tvs, by putting them into standby mode with just a quick flick of the finger. The funny bit about it is that the Telly Terminate is so small that it fits into your hand unseen very easily, or it can just be hung on your normal keyring....making it look very innocent indeed. There is also a tiny LED light so that the product can be used as a handy mini torch light to light your way when unlocking the front door/ car door etc on a dark winters night. ********************************************************** We have had great fun with this and whilst its secret has been revealed to many by now, there is still the chance to catch out a few friends and rellies! Its a cheap little thing really, not sure about how long it will last in the long run, we have had ours for a few months and its worked well up to now. The gadget can be found online from £4.50 or so upwards towards £10, even reputable sellers like Amazon UK and Zavvi stock this and it will be a fun add on gift for a friend who likes to play the odd joke on their friends and family. ********************************************************** So next time the footie is getting on your nerves...you know what to do ladies! For the pure fun that the Telly Terminate can give, its getting a 5 star rate!

Picture the scene - You've had a bad day, and you really need someone to talk to. You turn, hopefully, towards your other half, telling him about all the frustrations of your day - being late taking the kids to school, missing a bus and having to walk in the rain, losing your purse on the bus, and having to deal with the stroppy bank counter assistant who insists that you can't take any money out because you don't have any ID, which was all lost in your purse, meaning you have no way to get home, other than walk back. In the rain . As you're pouring out your troubles, you become aware of your other half giggling. Does he not share your pain ? Does he not care that the rain has left your hair frizzed up like a poodle thats been poked with a cattle prod ? Of course he doesn't - the footy is on TV, and you wouldn't be able to get his attention even if you leapt about naked in front of the screen . Worse, he has the remote clutched in his clammy little fist, and there's no way to turn off the precious footy without looking like a stroppy attention whore! Fear no more- Telly Terminate is here! A small black circle of plastic that attaches to your keyring - one side marked with a thumbs up symbol, the other bearing two small buttons . Not a device that grabs any attention, just a small insignificant circle of plastic . Oh, but the power this device contains could change your life ladies! One of the buttons is a clever little tool that puts virtually any TV into standby mode . Simply point, from behind your partners uncaring back, and watch as that football matchs fades into a black screen. Giggle to yourself in amusement as your other half then tuts and presses the remote to turn the TV back on .Give him a few minutes to assume it was a one of glitch, wait right until someone takes a shot at goal, then push that crafty little button again . Amuse yourself with the string of creative curses that follow as your other half turns the TV back on, and then repeat your actions, laughing as he curses the TV, and the impeccable timing of the shutdowns . Then when he gives up in frustration, pour out your troubles and recieve a hug, albeit a slightly bad tempered on as he can't watch the rest of the match . I can't guarantee that your other half will be supportive and kind, offering tea, comfort, and unlimited supplies of chocolate, but at least his day is equally ruined . There now, don't you feel a bit happier? If your partner is a bit more clued on that most, and starts to look at you with eyes full of suspicion, never fear! You'll remember that I mentioned this product has two buttons - one of which powers up a handy little LED torch , so when asked what this black keyring is for, you can demonstrate it's perfectly innocent purpose as a handy tool that helps you find the keyhole! A word of caution though - whilst this works on MOST TV sets, it does not work on all of them. My mums TV seems to be particularly resistant, and I still find myself forced to sit through 'Songs of Praise' when I go and visit her on a Sunday evening . I have however discovered that this does work on the big screen TV in my local pub. I think on Saturday, when England play the USA, I fancy a quiet drink in my local, rather than a lot of shouting football fans spilling beer everywhere with their enthusiastic cheers and reeking of stale beer and sweat. Such a shame it will be crowded with football fans on my relaxing night out - or will it ? This little device costs just £4.60 on amazon.co.uk , and I think for that price it's a fun little gadget that just might get you a little bit more of your mans attention during the footy.
