True Coin Stash Keyring
Advantages: Well made
Disadvantages: Need two hands to open and close it
My other half has a similar product to his however his one is in the shape of a diving cylinder and is designed to hold "O" rings which he uses for diving, or at least as spares if he needs one, for me this coin holder keyring is much more practical as not only will it hold a pound coin but also the tokens that I use for the gym lockers which also accept a £1 coin however if I lose one of the tokens then I'm not out of pocket as I tend to acquire these for free from companies looking to promote their company name, I have two from casinos and another from a night club as well as one from a cosmetics company.
It cost £3.99 to purchase, it is just a shame that they do not supply the five £1 coins that fit snugly inside otherwise you would make a profit on every purchase, I was impressed with how well made this product is, the body itself is supposed to be made from aircraft grade aluminium according to the product description, for me the two most important indicators of quality though in this product is the ring onto which the keys are attached and the lid itself which needs to be secure. For some reason it is waterproof as it has an O ring in the lid. It is a screw down lid with a decent enough thread and a spring in the top which compacts the coins so it does not have to be full if you do not have five coins although in my case I always have four coins and a token in it, the coins are useful to know that you have for things like parking meters especially when the option to pay by phone does not exist.
The keyring itself is not that large, I have two keys on it and it copes easily enough with the pair but any more would begin to over load it, it is a double circle that you have to thread the keys onto and is nice and tight so the keys feel really secure. It is also very secure at the point where the ring connects to the main body of the fob that contains the coins. Overall this is an easy product to use however you do need two free hands to open and close it. The simplicity of design and the fact that I have found it not only a useful gadget but also a well made one means I will give it 5 stars.
