True Utility Cash Stash
Advantages: easy to use, waterproof, notes storage
I bought this cash stash online. I'd seen them around quite a bit and thought they would be handy to have. It cost me £5-£6 at the time but i'm pretty sure you can probably get it cheaper now.
The cash stash is a little aluminium storage compartment basically. It has a little ring that you can attach to your keys and it has a screwtop lid which when opening will reveal a clip that your note is wrapped around and placed inside this cash stash. In order to get your notes in there, you just fold the money in half and put it on the clip and roll the note around it.
It is fairly small and light and it did state it was waterproof too.. although it has never come into contact with much water, I have used it out in the rain and it has never got water into the compartment which is good.
I mainly used the cash stash for just storing £5 or £10 notes and it meant I could have some money seperate for when I needed it instead of digging around in my bag for my purse. It was basically just a little more convenient and handy, especially if I wasn't going to be carrying my bag on me.. for instance at times I would like to go for a walk and not feel the need to take my bag.. however on the walk back I pass a few shops and sometimes liked to stop for a quick drink or anything else. I found the cash stash to be really helpful then.
Now I know some people may think it can be just as fine sticking money in your pocket and this cash stash wouldn't be needed. But one of the reasons I purchased this was due to running for the bus one time and not realising the fiver in my pocket had fallen out, since then I have stopped carrying notes in my pocket! lol.
Overall this is a really handy gadget. I still have it but have started using it less mainly because I replaced it with a coin stash, which allows me to store £1 coins rather than notes. I made the change due to getting a change of purse that allowed easier storage for my notes, though at times I just swap between the both depending on what spare change/notes I have in my purse.
Though I will save discussing the coin stash for another review - but it is worth looking into if you like the sound of the cash stash :)
Thanks for reading :)
