I got this out of curiosity and thought it would be a fun thing to have. It is supposed to recognize the tone of your voice and be able to determine whether what you are saying is a lie or not based on that. Unfortunately I can't say that it works; I tried it many times and it just seems to randomly switch between the red and green lights randomly - red lights means you're lying and green mean telling the truth. Even if on occasion it did work to some extent, it is far to easy to fool as you can just change the pitch of your voice and make it say what you want it to. Overall this is definitely not to be taken as an accurate lie detector, more of a gimmicky gadget that a child wants for Christmas or something to make you sound more professional in your office at work.
Well what can i say,the truth machine does it work?, YES it does. I bought one thinking what the hell am i doing i am wasting money but at the time i had money to waste and i heard that they actually worked. The machine is quite large in size not small enough to fit in your trouser pocket, its about the size of a CD case but only thicker and much heavier. When you turn the machine on it reads voices straight away and depending on whether the person is lieing or over exagerating the machines little light will grow higher up the side reaching red depending on how obvious the lie was. This gadget is very good apart from the fact its hard to hide if you dont want the person to know what your doing with it. This is really good when asking specific questions straight out to people knowing that the Truth Machine is there because if they lie the machine will instantly pick it up and if they lie it will pick it up also, so its best to tell the truth, trust me. The only downside to this machine is that it will be easily outdated by newer, easier and smaller machines with more features like voice recording and even truth machined where you can plug it into your mobile phone, yep its true they are coming out, eventually, and beware u never know when someone knows your lieing.
Ever wanted your own lie detector? The Truth Machine helps you figure out who's telling the truth through analysis of the frequency changes in your subject's voice that occur under stress.
