This little gadget, this little piece of metal that plugs into my laptop it is......a MIRACLE. A miracle of modern technology I tell you!

Let me ask you a simple question, how many of you find that when you're working on your computer, whether desktop or laptop, and get engrossed in your work, you forget about your nice piping hot cup of java or Earl Grey or Galaxy hot chocolate, and when you finally get around to drinking it, it's as cold as a mother in laws kiss?

Well, obviously you can't answer me because Im still writing this and at the time of my asking none of your know I'm writing this, so allow me the presumption of answering for you.

Ahem.....ALL OF YOU.

Probably.

Fact is, I know I do, my other half, my sister, all my friends and family have done it at some point, and there is no way to deny that it is one of the most soul destroying moments of your life when you go to drink your hot drink to find that there is something fundamentally wrong.

It's not hot.

And you cry.

That's OK, you can admit to it, we all understand how heartbreakingly painful a moment it is in your life when you find your nice hot drink has gone cold and you haven't even taken a sip! There it is, your favourite mug of your favourite brew as cold and lifeless and barren as the surface of the moon.....let us take a minute to remember those fine beverages that lost their heat through no fault of their own. And its alright if you feel a little guilty, you should. After all YOU were the one who neglected the poor innocent mug, brimming with hot liquid happiness.

BUT NO LONGER!!

Aha! Modern technology is here to save us all. Like a miracle breakthrough in modern medicine, we are now in possession of the ultimate in home gadgetry, the USB Mug Warmer.

Don't laugh! This little doohicky has singlehandedly reinstilled my faith in humanity. You take it out of the box, plug it in to a spare USB port and away you go.

Within minutes it is nice and toasty, so just be carefull not to rest your arm on it like I did and give yourself a lovely red soul patch where you've singed you arm hair.

Now it doesn't come with the little metal cup shown in this picture, so you need to supply your own, but somehow, I think we may all have a cup or two in our homes, plus I personally think tea out of a metal container is vile and this little treasure keeps the heat in your crockery cups just as well as it does with the metal ones, in my experience.

I have had no trouble with it since I bought it, never overloaded through constant use, so I've never needed to repair or replace it, and best of all for around £8, I never again have to fear for my sanity when reaching for my tea. Its ALWAYS warm now!
