The blade has remained sharp throughout and is not bent and i have tried (not on purpose) and the scissors too reamin sharp (and they are that well deigned that the two scissor blades blades remain very close together which increases the cutting sharpness.
They do not rust and i don't think they ever will.
The file is not something i really use but it does do a good job on nails as an emergency and it has the screw diver end as well which is useful althou...more

I just love victorinox products. They are quite literally quality through and through. I have paring knives in the kitchen but the best product i own is this. It sits on my keyring and i probably use atleast once a week if not more. It was a present and i have had it for 3+ years and it is in just a s good shap as when i got it! I have got my Victorinox Classic Swiss Army knife in 2005 while I was travelling to Switzerland. I have been using it since then and it is still in good shape now. Victorinox is famous for its various types of army knife and the one I got is listed under the category of small and elegant pocket tools. I cannot agree more with this statement, it is small (58mm according to the official website). The main reason that I bought this gadget is basically a souvenir so I have just opted for the most basic one (which is also the cheapest).
