Before I received this lovely penknife in camoflage as a gift I had mostly been using lower grade multi-tools and penknives with my best before this one being a Draper. This one may have less functions than my draper but all of the functions on the spartan actually work. I was especially impressed with the knife. It can smoothly slice through paper with almost no force behind it which is a great test of a good knife. Although the blade isn't a locking one, it gratifyingly snaps into position towards the end of its motion and feels pretty steady. The corkscrew is also pretty good and steady although in fairness all the tools are. Its a nice and compact penknife that will never get in the way. It is small, light and compact but very well made and hard to damage.I would recommend this to anyone who just wants a simple penknife and doesn't care about all the bells and whistles!
