Advantages: Egg-citing appearance

Disadvantages: Egg-stortinate price

Firstly sorry for all the puns. I think I have put all my eggs in one basket with this review.

I was given this egg separator a couple of years ago by my mum as a flat warming present as it is not something I would shell out on myself. I like to cook a lot of omlettes as breakfast at the weekends and to keep them healthy I often use more egg whites than egg yolks. The egg yolk contains about two thirds of the calories in an egg and all of the saturated fat, so by removing them I can make a egg-ceedingly healthy meal which tastes pretty much identical to a standard omlette

== The Yolky egg separator ==

The Yolky egg separatorr is eggs-actly what is says it is. It's a tool for egg-stracting the yolk from the white. It works by cracking an egg into the bowl part of the spearator and egg-citingly moving the separator around so that the white of the egg egg-sits from the slits in the sides of the bowl section. It is egg-stremely easy to use but you do still have to crack the egg in and I personally think this can be done just as easily by flipping between two halfs of a shell.

The appearence is egg-cellent and when you egg-samine the product it it has the egg-strodinary appearance of an egg with eyes and feet. I like the appearance although I wouldn't say I was egg-static with egg-citement over it. It is a nice novelty item and makes a good gift.

I haven't used the egg separtor much but it seem egg-spertly made and the product feels solid and robust, I can't see it deteriorating much as it is quite a simple piece of kitchen harware.

== Price ==

A quick web search has revealed that this egg separator costs the egg-ceedingly egg-stortinate price of £16. I think this is egg-cessive and would never buy it for myself at theis price. As an egg-stravagent gift it is quite a nice item. If I could find it elsewhere for a few pounds I would be egg-stremely happy to egg people towards buying one. But personally if I had the reciept I would eggs-change it for something better.

== Opinion ==

In my opinion an egg separator is a bit of waste of money and it does mea more washingup than using the usual method of cracking an egg. As stated above I do like the appearance but due to lack of use it sits in a draw and is rarely egg-scavated for use.

In summary I do'nt think it is what it is cracked up to be and would be put off by the egg-ceedingly high price. If you like to egg-speriment with new products, it does work well and as an egg-sotic egg-citing kitchen gadget it is an egg-sample of good design which some people may find useful for egg-celling in the kitchen.

Anyway, Thats all yolks.....

Summary: Not very useful for me
