Nyko Wii Charge Station
by ally_kats_mama
I purchased the Nyko Wii Charging Station after buying one for my Mum. She raved about how she no longer needed to buy batteries for her Wii remote and how this was an excellent charging dock so I ordered one for myself. I ordered it for £14.99 from Amazon.co.uk
The charging station or dock as some people call them (me ... included) is great if you are sick of having to buy batteries for your Wii Remote or when you pick up your remote and you find that it has run out of battery and you can't play that game you have been looking forward to playing all day long. I hate buying batteries with a passion so the idea of the charging dock seemed more than a good enough reason to buy one.
In the box was the charging station itself, 2 rubber grip battery covers, 2 rechargable batteries and the plug to plug it into the mains.
One of the things I really liked about the charging dock was that it followed the white and grey colour scheme of the Nintendo Wii so even though it is not an official product, it still matches really well and doesn't look out of place.
To use the rechargable batteries is really simple. You just remove the original battery cover from the back of your Wii remote, insert the Nyko recharagable batteries and then put the Nyko rubber grip battery cover on instead of the Wii one. You then just put the remote into the the docking station and leave it to charge. The batteries are usually charged right up within 1-2 hours.
The dock will let you know when the remotes have finished charging as there are LED lights underneath each remote. When the light is blue that means the remote is still charging but once it has turned to green then it means the remote is fully charged.
There is enough space for 2 Nintendo Wii remotes in the charging station and the power cable is 6 feet long allowing flexibility as to where you put it.
This is a really reliable product which charges the Wii remotes quickly and efficiently. Once the batteries have been recharged, I have found they last a good while before needing to be recharged again.
A highly recommended addition to any Wii set up. Read the complete review |

Nyko Wii Charge Station

The nyko wii charge station is extremely handy if you don't want to be forever changing the batteries in your wii remote.
It comes with the docking station itself, 2 rubber grip battery covers and two rechargable batteries. It is extremely simple to use, simply replace the wii remote battery cover and batteries with the nyko ... ones, plug in the docking station and sit your remote(s) into it. Within 1-2 hours, the remotes will be fully charged and ready to use.
The docking station comes in white which well matches the theme of the wii itself and most of the accessories which come with it. There is room for two remotes to be charged simumtaneously, giving you maximum play time in a minimum charging time. The dock has two handy lights for each remote, a blue light indicates charging and a green light shows it has finished charging.
The charge station itself is very handy and reliable, I have had no problems whatsoever with it. I find that it is good value for money in the long run and means no more buying batteries! Read the complete review |

Nyko Wii Charge Station

I first purchased the Wii as a present for my Mum and she certainly made good use of it. If im honest i expected to get most use of it but i barely got a chance.
Obviously the Remote uses AA batteries normally to get power and these last for a decent length of time but in reality she played it that much that the need for ... rechargeable battery became quickly apparent. I thought we would have to use the normal method of pulling out rechargeable AA's and putting them into a wall charger, but this is much simpler. You simply replace the AA's with the batteries in the pack.
I found this one after searching online for a while. The batteries seem to last about 10 - 15 hours, i havent counted proply so this is a good guess. The battery has a rubber grip on so that the remote is more comfotable and the remotes just sit in the dock when im not using them and charge.
The only trouble is that my mum likes to have the silicone coat on that comes with the remote in the Wii box, for this she has to take it off everytime she has finished playing so that she can place it on the base to charge.
I have seen some about now that let you charge without taking it off now with wireless charging or something, so i would look at them if you have the same silicone problem but other than that this works fine, does what is says on the tin i guess. Read the complete review |
