Advantages: Easy to use, light to hold, wireless
Disadvantages: None
I asked for the Buzz game and wireless buzzers to go with it last Christmas as I really love games like it. Plus I thought it would be a good game to pass the time over Christmas when all the presents have been opened, everyone has eaten too much and is on the verge of dying from boredom!
My mother-in-law purchased the buzzers for me for our PS3 though this particular accessory is also compatible with the PS2. The whole idea of the game is to put you up against your family and friends and see who the quickest is in a fast paced quiz game.
Upon getting them out of the box I was really pleased to see that the buzzers are wireless, meaning that you do not have to worry about 4 sets of wires (there are 4 buzzers in a pack) constantly tangling up and that you can sit anywhere you like with the buzzer so you don't have to sit next to that one member of your family who absolutely drives you to the point of insanity!
The buzzers are made of a lightweight black plastic with 5 buttons on the front and a slide button on the side which turns the buzzer on and off. The buzzers do need 2xAA batteries each to make them work. The batteries do last a good while though as long as you remember to slide the power buttons to off when not in use and also as long as you use quality batteries.
At the very top of the buzzer is big circular button which reminds of something off of Britain's Got Talent! This is the button you press to buzz in to answer the question. Underneath this big red button are four rectangles of colour - blue, orange, green and yellow. These colours match what you see on the game and match the answers. It makes answering questions a little bit easier.
The buzzers have alays reacted well for me and I have never had an issues at it not buzzing in.
All the buttons are brightly coloured which is good as we like to dim the lights and give it a full gameshow type of experience and they show up really brightly and are easy to see.
I love the buzzers and think they are a great idea from Sony. They hare alot of fun especially when things get a bit boring over the Christmas period. they are easy to use and so lightweight you don't even feel like you are holding them.
My mother-in-law paid just over £30.00 for them from Game though I am sure if you have a look about you will find them cheaper.
5 Doo Yoo stars from me!
