When I saw that the Xbox was launching its own version of the Wii I was very excited. Even more so when I heard that you would not need any control pads to use it. This new piece of kit works by a sensory picking up your body movements alone. Pretty amazing I thought! With Xmas fast approaching I thought this would be the perfect present to myself this year.

I purchased it for the standard price of £129.99. With the Kinet came the adverture game. Not bad fun and quite enjoyable. But it wasn't enough for me, so I went out and puchaed sonic rider and the sports game too. Both are excellent and function superbly.

The control menu for the Kinet can be opperated by hand movements or voice command. A great way to warm up for the game. It can be a little tempramental though, so you may want a standard controller to hand.

Installing the Kinet is very easy. Simply plug it directly into your Xbox. The only problem I was worried about was the space in my living room. You need six foot of space, with some games even needing eight foot. Luckily it appeared that I just had enough room, without having move any of the funiture. I would recommend measuring how much space you have in the room you intend to use the Kinet in before you use it.

Like the Wii, there are two parts of the Kinet which are really enjoyable. Firstly playing the games is great fun. Its very realistic and shows the advancements the vertial world is making. But even more fun is watching your friends make absolutely fools of themselves while trying to play the games. I recommend getting the camcorder out and videoing the whole experience. Its great to watch back.

All in all agreat addition to the Xbox gaming experience. Its much better than the Wii and is great for Christmas fun.

Buy it before it sells out for xmas.
