When the Kinect came out it was an exciting moment, it's a controller that makes it possible to play a game using yourself to control the players on the game, so we brought one and then the problems started. We did not think to check whether you needed to be a certain distance from the kinect in order for it to work but it turns out you do. You need to be 6ft away from the Kinect in order for it to work. Though this is displayed at the back of the box I don't think this is made clear enough to people before they buy it. After moving the whole room around we eventually got it to work.

When you have the space it works great. It picks up all your moves and is great fun to play. The Kinect comes with Kinect Adventures, which is a great game for learning how to use the kinect but it quickly becomes boring. There is now a variety of games you can get for the kinect such as kinect sports, joy ride, kinectimals, Sonic Free Riders and many keep fit and dancing games.

One of the features on the kinect is on some games at certain points it takes pictures of you playing, which is always good for a laugh to see yourself or your friends pulling a funny face or in a funny position.

Depending on the games you can play with one or two players (though you need a lot of room for 2 players).
If you have the space it is definitely worth getting one as it is great fun and helps to keep you fit.
