Yesterday I thought I would treat myself, so off I wondered down to 'Game' and purchased myself a Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Pro Racing Wheel. Here is my review of it, please note that I will update this review next week and occasionally thereafter to reflect how it is working with other games. Included in the package is: Instruction manual (very brief dealing with the bare essentials) Driver CD Wheel & Pedals Setting up the wheel ******************** Setting up the wheel was simplicity in itself. First of all you attach the pedals to the wheel via a small cable. Then you attach the Wheel to a ... Read the complete review

Microsoft are probably the biggest company in the world in PC terms. They consistently produce excellent software but as I've discovered they make rather good peripherals too.. This wheel is superb from the design and build quality to the software that comes with it. If you've bought a wheel for your pc before then you'll probably agree that this Microsoft wheel is superb. The wheel responds precisely with well positioned buttons (all eight of them) including paddles for formula 1 style gear changes. The pedals are re-assuringly solid and the pedal base unit is large enough even for my size 11 feet! The software which comes with the wheel is ... Read the complete review

This all started when my friend introduced me to Need for Speed V. Playing on his keyboard, which was pretty unresponsive, this was still a pretty good game. So I nabbed his disc and loaded it on my computer as I have some Gravis gamepads. The game came to life, it was awesome, but after a while it was a little annoying, as the gamepads were digital and you really need an analogue device so you can take some corners gradually some hard, as opposed to the all or nothing nature of digital. Well, feeling a bit extravagant and feeling I definitely deserved a present of some sort, after some quick research I went out and got one. My research lead me to ... Read the complete review

Wheels and such like are quite expensive and hard to justify. I fancied a wheel as I like playing games like Rally Championship, but, I just don't get the sort of control needed to win on a consistent basis, so, I looked at buying a wheel. Force feedback really wasn't an option as they are much more expensive than a normal wheel but I was worried that a normal wheel won't have the realism. I was wrong. I bought a Sidewinder Precision Wheel and found that it is brilliant. It's just like having power assisted steering. The game play is much better now, and my times on Rally Championship are tumbling. Ok, so ... Read the complete review

The MS Precison Wheel is one of the best wheels you can buy for the PC. It may not the the cheapest wheel but it is very sturdy and it can take a lot on punishment for any aggressive driving gamer. The Precision is very easy to set up just adjust the bolt to your desk and then set the clamp which makes it very sturdy on desks and tables. The pedals for the precision are one of the best designed i've seen on a gaming wheel which has a large accelerator pedal about the size as a real car's pedal and has the same non slip pips real car pedals have. The brake pedal is slightly smaller and has the same feeling as the accelerator. The wheel is a ... Read the complete review
