Advantages: can plug into computer, great layout

Disadvantages: worth the extra few quids to get a wireless

I got two wired controls and one wireless control upon purchasing my xbox 360 console. The wireless controller is genius but then so are the wired ones but i wish i got three wireless ones for just 5 quid more for each one

The layout is much like the original xbox S controller with two joysticks, a D-Pad, A,B,X,Y colourful buttons. Instead of the black and white buttons there is now RB (Right Bumper) and LB (Left Bumper) which are situated just above the right and left triggers.

The most ingenious thing on the control is the middle 'xbox guid button.' As soon as you click it it comes up with a menu from where you can choose to go back to the dashboard, you can shut down the console or change a variety of settings and choose some music to listen to.

The controller fits in your hands perfectly and unlike the upcoming PS3 controller it has a vibration function which really helps in a lot of games. The controller does not start to hurt your hands after extended gameplay and is modelled perfectly for the hand. Your palms can comfortably fit round the two pointing out edges and then you can easily reach all buttons and your thrid finger comfortably rests underneath the trigger buttons.

Also it connects to the 360 via USB so you can also plug it into your computer and use it on various games on the PC

Overall a very good controller and design allowing you to play for hours on end (which im sure you will be doing with the 360 :-)
