Advantages: No chance of tripping over the wires.

Disadvantages: Unreliable battery life.

When I first bought the controller, I was quite happy as I was elated with the acquisition of my xbox and having no wires go across the front room and in the way of small children wasn't exactly a good plan. So in that sense it's a much better option than a wired controller, as when the wires fray it's a massive health hazard, and that's not something to be giving to your children.

So, I have had the controller for about 2 years (of heavy use :P). In these 2 years it was reliable up until about 6 months ago. That's when the problems started. I found the controller kept either being disconnected from the xbox or going into what looks like an epileptic fit on cod, ending my killstreak and then being disconnected. Both ending in me shouting. Loudly. I've also found the left stick has gotten very stiff and unreliable when trying to press it down. I have no physical problem pushing it down, and in fact I can gain the desired effect in game, just not for the prolonged period of time in which I'm holding it down.

So there's my experiences with my controller. It will be sent for recycling soon, and I'll probably buy another one, I just wish it wouldn't be so annoying to play with while it was still clinging to life.

Summary: Better than the wired one, on balance.
