Coming as standard with many new XBOX 360s, this pack comprises two games and one wireless controller. Seeing as the controllers are pretty expensive anyway, and games are never cheap, this seems like a pretty good deal, especially if you're getting it included in the package, although I've also seen them for sale individually as well.
Obviously, you're not getting two of the best-known or most celebrated games on the XBOX, but they're pretty good ones, and as free games go, you're getting excellent value. The first game is LEGO Indiana Jones, which is one of the best versions of the LEGO computer game franchise, featuring many of the most famous locations and events from the first three Indiana Jones films, but played out in LEGO, with some really clever and funny features included. It's two-player if you want, and although the graphics aren't amazing, it's a good introduction to the console. It's quite a difficult game, and you'll get plenty of use out of it, as it's also a good length.
The second game is Kung Fu Panda, the game based on the film (which I love). This is a surprisingly good game that really shows off some of the XBOX's graphics, as it recreates locations from the film really well. It's great fun to play and there are only a couple of weaknesses to it. Firstly, it's just too short - although you'll love playing it, it won't last long and there's not much to do after you've completed it once. Secondly, it uses Quicktime events, which I think are just horrible and really spoil the excellent gameplay. Still, this is a really fun game and a nice inclusion.
You also get a Wireless controller, which is a great idea and works so well with the XBOX, and also lasts a long time which I didn't expect. It's a really well-designed controller and makes games so easy to play. There are no real negatives about this product.
Overall, then, I think this is a brilliant pack, and I'd buy it even if it wasn't free. You get two great family games and a vital controller, so I'd definitely recommend buying it if you've already got an XBOX.
I purchased this from Zavvi for £29.99 and have to say I thought it was quite a bargain considering a wireless Xbox controller on its own would usually set you back this amount.
So this is basically a wireless X box controller and two games which too be fair aren't the greatest the console has ever produced but are solid hits that are fun for people of all ages.
Xbox Controller: Add two batteries, configure with the Xbox and you are away, a good arcade controller, perfect with the stick for fighting games and first person shoot em ups as well as having enough buttons to make anyone look special playing FIFA 11, this is probably my favourite console controller, it is easy to use, ergonomically it fits my hand perfectly and makes gameplay intuitive. It is easy to set up and it looks good, without being too large or requiring too much maintenance.
Kung Fu Panda Game: Based on the fun kids film, it looks amazing, unfortunately its fairly standard. It's a beat em up where you play as Po the Kung Fu Panda and various members of his gang, as you try to stop the bad guys. Controls are the left stick and two buttons and its a beat em up no different from games of old, the graphics are amazing and the set pieces good, but at times the gameplay can be too fast and frantic at the expense of narrative. The story can get confusing and some of the characters don't make sense but generally its aimed at 10 year olds so you just have to accept it for what it is an old-skool beat em up with a big bottomed Panda as the hero. It shows off the capabilties of the controller well and is well worth its addition to the package.
LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures is the better of the two games, taking on the now familiar format of lego characters following famous films.
Mocking all of the first three films and including funny set pieces and gameplay angles, this is a cracking game for all the family and easily worth about £15 on its own. It's cheeky and looks great but doesn't sacrifice gameplay for graphics, it follows the fast frenetic feel of the films as you play Indiana Jones as he ducks and dives to save priceless artifacts with his accomplices. It includes the original music and has enough fighting, puzzles and gameplay to keep the most ardent gamer happy as well as being challenging but not too challenging for young minds.
You can swim, climb, dodge boulders and snakes, fight villains with guns, whips or your fists and pretty much destroy your environment as you go, the game is great fun and worthy of its own production seperate from this package.
This package is available for £37.00 on Amazon, but keep your eyes peeled for sales on Zavvi.
The microsoft wireless entertainment pack represents superb value for money if you are looking for a new controller. The package I bought included a wireless xbox360 controller (white), pure and lego batman. The controller is the same that comes with most new xbox consoles. It remains a comfy and easy to use controller, with the same downfall that is the directional pad. You will only really notice this when playing fighting games so it is not a big issue for most people.
The entertainment packs tend to include games that have been reduced in price but that is not a reflection of quality. They tend to be rotated fairly often so it is pot luck which shop does which bundle. Pure is a pretty average racing game that will have you boosting around tracks racing opponents. Suffice to say it didn't leave a lasting impression. Lego Batman on the other hand is superbly entertaining. If you are a fan of any of the Batman films or even the comics you will enjoy the game. All the main villains are included and you can even play as both sides. The action is light hearted and pretty simple but it is very enjoyable.
Overall, the package is great for the money, depending on the selection of games of course.
We got an Xbox 360 Wireless Entertainment Pack as part of a package deal including the console, 1 game from a small choice of 2/3 and an Xbox 360 Wireless Entertainment Pack. Our pack featured 2 games and an Xbox controller which was a really useful bonus deal at the time.
Although you can connect up to 4 controllers, with a combo of wired and wifi gamepads, (by connecting up to 2 wired controllers at the front of the Xbox and a further 1 at the back) we have just 3 controllers, 2 wifi/1 wired and haven't needed more so far.
This pack was just £20 to buy as part of the deal we got and that worked out well for us when compared to the price of an additional gamepad on its own. So for that alone it was worth it. I can see that its now available for a little more at £29.99, but can be purchased without the console. I still feel this is reasonably good value for a controller and 2 games.
I would recommend that you consider getting a charger for your wifi controller as batteries can run down very quickly when playing, which is rather annoying and an decent quality charger won't set you back too much. The Microsoft quick charge kit is well priced at around £16.99 and means you can charge up to 2 x Xbox 360 gamepad battery packs at the same time. You get everything you need and then your Xbox 360 controller will give you up to to 25 hours of game play.
The controller in the Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Entertainment Pack being a wifi controller means that we are able to sit further away from the (up to 30 feet or so) Xbox and still use the controller as its wire free. Response times are good when using the game pad which means mostly lag free play and you can switch the console on and off from your controller.
When compared to both the Wiimote controller and the PS3 controller I feel that the Xbox 360 controller is my least favorite. Its somewhat bulky in comparison to me and seems harder to get to grips with, as one of the analogue sticks feels awkward to use. This is my main bug bear with the controller and in comparison the sleek PS3 controller is the best out of the 3 to me.
The gamepad looks nice in its white version and not so great as a black controller to my mind. The fact that its a bit chunky means that you ought to be able to get a decent hold, but it can also be tiring on the hands when playing for long periods of time. Another reason why I feel the PS3 controller is a more ergonomic and well produced design, as it doesn't give me the hand cramps that the 360 controller does during play.
The Xbox 360 Wireless Entertainment Pack contains 2 games one of which is Kung Fu Panda. The game is based around Po a gifted Kung Fu fighting Panda and with the help of trusty Kung FU trainer Shifu, Po has to fight his way towards the ultimate Dragon Warrior.
The games come in one pack with both discs in and not as two packs as shown on the box here.
There are 13 different levels in the game and one or two levels are sometimes a challenge for Po to complete in this platform Kung Fu fighting/ combat game, however it won't take very long for an experienced Xbox 360 player to complete this game.
Whilst the 2 games are really the sort of games that you might buy for younger children, we have enjoyed playing them as they are lighter in theme than many of the other games we have and the character of Po is rather charming and endearing to play as.
The other game you get is Lego Indiana Jones where you are able to play as everyones hero Indiana Jones. You can battle and quest you way through a series of adventures as Dr Jones in his smaller cooler Lego man form.
Dr Jones is dressed in this iconic Fedora hat and carries his signature weapon which is his whip. You can use this to great effect during the game to swing across gaps, activate levers etc. You can use the whip to defend yourself from foes and attack when needed.
You can also pick up other weapons to use along the way during the game. Indy is fun to play as and control and he can climb, pick up objects, creep along ledges and even swim, but as in the films he isn't very keen on snakes though!
You can unlock up to 60 different characters along the way which is great fun as you can play as them too, so you could be Marion, Belloq, Marcus Brody or even Indys dad during the game. I feel this adds an extra level of fun to the game and makes it that bit more enjoyable to play.
There are plenty of puzzles to solve during the game, you can ride on a motorbike harness elephant power and ride a perilous mine cart. We have found the game to be action packed with lots of puzzles to solve and great fun throughout for both adults and children. We have really enjoyed playing it.
In summary the Xbox 360 Wireless Entertainment Pack was a great buy for £20 and if you are able to pick the pack up cheaply its worth it for the wifi controller alone. The games are an added bonus and are a little different to the games we usually purchase which is perhaps why we have found them to be such quirky fun.
Because of the added value of the 2 games I feel the pack is deserving of a 5 star rating and would recommend it as a gift purchase for an Xbox owner who wants an extra controller and doesn't already have either of the two games.
I bought this wireless entertainment pack quite recently for £29.99 to replace my broken Xbox 360 controller. The pack I got included:
- Pure (Xbox 360 game)
- Lego Batman (Xbox 360 game)
- Black wireless Xbox 360 controller
This is great value for money as the black controller costs £29.99 by itself! Why I don't know... maybe to make you buy this pack. The two games are probably worth £10/£15 each at a push now but it still means the pack excellent value for money.
Pure is a quad bike stunt/racing game made by Disney. The game is unique in that you can perform a plethora of different tricks on your quad to earn points and 'boost'. The graphics and gameplay on this game are stellar and I still have it because it's such a unique game.
Lego Batman on the other hand I didn't enjoy - I've never been a fan of the Lego Star Wars games nor the Indianna Jones. Needless to say I sold it on to make a quick £15.
Overall the pack screams "VALUE FOR MONEY" and if you're in need of a controller then go for it. If you're buying it for the games, however... you may be disappointed. Currently on Amazon I see it's £40... This is still great value for money though; remember the controller costs up to £30!
This pack is designed to provide a extra or replacement controller for your xbox 360 console, and a couple of family friendly, mid range games.
The games change fairly reguarly- the ones I got were Pure (a sort of racing game) and Lego Batman (which is pretty much as the game suggests- a game that is set in lego, and features Batman.)
The box depicts the controller you will get (white or black) and the two games.
On the back it has some blurb about the controller where it mentions a "play and charge" kit which allows you to charge your batteries while you play.
It also mentions a wireless headset for online gaming.
However neither of these quite expensive accesories are actually included, and the box is a little lax about explaining this.
It also explains what games you will be getting, and a brief synopsis.
Open the box and you will find a retail packaged controller. (one of those annoyingly sealed packets that are almost impossible to open, but hey ho.)
This comes with batteries, so you are ready to go.
You will also find the games, and this is where the real dissapointment sets in.
Despite the box depicting two seperate games this actually comes with one double disc box.
The games themselves are not even the normal versions, but instead are rather dull black and white discs with "bundle version" across them.
Now given that the box makes no mention of this, and it's not hard to imagine a situation where this might be bought in order to give to different people (maybe the lego batman to a younger child, and the pure to a older one for example.) this is a bit annoying.
It still works out as being better value, but it will affect any resale value if you don't like the games.

I got this pack as part of a deal when I got my Xbox about 12 months ago and it contains the two games Lego Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda with a wireless controller. This pack can be bought very cheaply even on its own and if you can get it for below about £40 that is a great price! The wireless controller is excellent and is normally worth about £25 so shows how cheap this pack is and how useful it is with a new Xbox.
The games vary in quality. Both of the games would not be my top choice but Lego Indiana Jones is actually pretty good and is a nice change from shooting games. Also for achievement fans both these games have fairly easy achievements. Lego Indiana Jones is really good and would be ideal for kids! Kung Fu Panda on the other hand is quite bad and while not awful I would not recommend it! It is very tedious with repetitive levels and I got fed up with it! I will not be playing it in a hurry! One thing to note is that this does say bundle copy on the front and both games are in one box. This does nothing except look worse and the games play exactly the same.
The wireless controller is excellent and really good. It is so nice to have 2 controllers so you can play coop with your friends when they come round. It is of a really high standard and it is so nice not having wires getting tangled up! The only downside is that this thing eats batteries so I would recommend getting a rechargeable pack for it like the Play and Charge Kit!
Overall this is a brilliant bundle which will keep anyone entertained for a while as Lego Indiana Jones is good and the controller is essential if you like playing games with friends! The pack would be ideal for younger children but I would still definitely recommend it to everyone!
Below I have included reviews of each individual item to help you! These have been published before but I thought it would be helpful to have them all in one place!
Lego Indiana Jones Review
Lego Indiana Jones is a great game for the Xbox 360. There is loads to do and lots of items to collect with studs (the currency) like in Lego Star Wars, artefacts which are like minikits and there is even some bonus levels too. The game is similar to Lego Star Wars but I think this is what makes it so good. In the game there are lots of references to Lego Star Wars and there are some funny moments too. The graphics are great and the levels almost match the movies but obviously with everything made from Lego. The way the characters and most objects are made from Lego is really clever and looks brilliant. The sound is not great, but why not play some music on your console if you want good music. The characters have little mumbles to represent what they are saying. The game has a lot puzzles which you need to complete to carry on or unlock something. This is game is best when played multiplayer and it had the feature that lets you drop in and out so you can carry on the level if someone wants to stop and you can play with someone else without having to restart the level. The game has two modes story where you use the characters in the film and free play where you try to find all the extras and can use any characters and keep switching using their special abilities to get to new places. E.g. Willie`s scream shatters glass.
Overall this is a great game to play and gives you a little rest between violent games.
Kung Fu Panda Review
This game is not the sort of game I would usually but I got it in a Wireless Entertainment Pack Bundle so thought I might as well try it!
You play Kung Fu Panda as Po most of the time who is a great big panda and the main character in the movie as well. In the main you jump around and when something tries to attack you, you just press random buttons and you nearly always kill whatever is attacking you! While getting to a certain place and jumping around there are certain objects to collect which is very tedious in some ways. However I imagine the game would appeal to its target audience which would be children who liked the movie.
The game does not last for long even if you collect all the items. It only lasts for a few hours which is quite poor even for modern games! The game would last longer if you played it on all the difficulty levels but I can`t imagine any would want to!
The graphics are quite good but not brilliant. The characters look like they do in the film so that is nice but there is nothing new or different from the film.
The sound is not good or bad really. Jack Black voices Po but the rest of the characters ae not played by the same people as in the movie. The music is good and gives the correct fell to the game.
Overall I would not recommend Kung Fu Panda to serious gamers but would to little children who enjoyed the film. I found the game quite boring and would not play it again any time soon.
Xbox 360 Wireless Controller Review
This controller is the controller is the official wireless controller for the Xbox 360 regardless of the type of console (arcade, 20gb, 60gb or elite.)
No more wires!
A great feature of this controller is that it is wireless so you can say goodbye to falling over wires and getting them all tangled up. This used to always happen to my PS2 and it took ages to untangle them. Another great thing about the controller being wireless is that I can play on my Xbox where ever I am in the room. The maximum range of the controller is 30 feet. The only downside of the fact it is wireless is that it uses batteries which go in the back of the controller but to solve this you can buy rechargeable batteries e.t.c
Look and Feel
The controller looks great and fits the sleek design of the console. You can buy the controller in different colour and designs but I have just a plain white one which is fine. The controller has the main buttons A,B,X,Y which are coloured different colours and in comfortable positions. There are two analog sticks which are used like other analog sticks on other consoles. There is also a D-pad which is not used very often but is quite easy to use. The last buttons are the shoulder buttons and these are brilliant as they do not get jammed like the R1 button used to on my PS2 from lots of use and eventually fell out!
From experience the controller is very sturdy and does not break easily. It also looks really cool and fits the look of the console itself.
The large button in the middle is the Xbox Guide button and is very important. Pressing this opens up a little menu and from here you can do nearly everything like playing music, exit the game, sign in, view your achievements and messages and much more. If you hold the button longer you can turn the console or controller off without moving - great if you are lazy like me! When the batteries are running out a light flashes around the button in a circular motion to tell you it is low on batteries.
Overall the controller is a really good piece of kit and essential for your 360 as you could not play without it! It is sturdy and hard to break but also comfortable to use and hold. It looks really sleek as well and as I have said before matches the console. The controller is as good as the PS3 controller if not better. It might not be as innovative as the Wii`s but that does not make it worse. My favourite thing about the controller is that it is wireless so you never have to untangle wires again and can never trip over them! I recommend you buy it as it is much better than the other controller with wires even if it costs a little bit more!
The controller can be bought at the time of writing from Amazon for £27.51 at the moment but there are probably cheaper places to buy it!
May appear on other sites under the names mariofan123 and ns1209
Thanks for reading this review!
This is a neat little kit. It contains 2 games that are very suitable for kids, including lego indiana jones and kug fu panda. The games are alright, nothing special, i did not particularly enjoy them but they woud be ideal for young children. The pack also contains a wireless controller. The controllers for the 360 are very good. They have a decent range and only take 2 AA batteries. The bettery life is very good, i only have to change mine every few months or so, however if you are an avid gamer then they will drain fairly quickly. It is possible to buy an add on for around £20 that allows you to recharge the contoller, in the long run saving you money.
I got the pack wih my xbox, for an extra £20 yiu get 2 games and a controller which is a bargin. Controllers on their won cost around £20 to £30 so you effectivly get the games for free. I then sold the games, recovering the £20 thus basically getting a free controller. I would certainly recommend getting it with the xbox.
