Advantages: The highest quality type of wheel available
Disadvantages: Why have a wheel at all?
Obviously bought for your Mario Kart racing on the wii, the Nintento own-brand wheel is admittedly superior to the cheap, shiney rip-offs sold online for pennies, and, if you feel you really need a wheel, it's worth paying the inflated price for this one. It is light, feels nice in your hands, and blends in well with the Wii controller, as well as looking kind of "cool" and allowing for good photo opportunities for Nintendo advertisers.
As you would expect from Nintendo's accesory for their own product, it does fit the controller very well.
At the end of the day, however, it is just a money-making con, as you do not need it to play Mario Kart and my family and I actually find it far easier to play with just the Wii controller, ie without the wheel, as doing so gives you more control over the onsceen characters and you run less risk of blocking the connecting device on the top of the remote.
Summary: Don't bother!
