The Wii Wheel can be used for a number of different games, but is most famous for its association with MarioKart Wii, making the game a great deal more enjoyable and fun.

The wheel is a very simple and nice design with the wiimote fitting in nicely into the middle in the horizontal position, allowing you to have access to all the same buttons plus a B button on the back which connects to the B-button funcionality of the wiimote. Please note that you have to remove the Wii MotionPlus accessory before using the wheel as the Wiimote will not fit in its slot with that attachment on which can be a minor annoyance if you often play games requiring this attachment.

The wheel itself does not provide for any added functionality above and beyond the Wiimote itself, but it certainly adds to the excitement and fun of playing MarioKart as your driving experience becomes a lot more real and steering is more intuitive and easy to do. It is a shame that these wheels are priced relatively high given that at the end of the day they are just a piece of plastic with a nest for the Wiimote as otherwise I would no doubt have more than one of these in the house.

Despite making control somewhat easier than using the Wiimote on its own, the Wii Wheel is still significantly inferior to the Nintendo Wii classic controller in terms of handling and ability to hit all the right apexes in your hunt for perfect laps around the track. It is, however, very useful when controlling bikes as wheelies are actually easier to perform manually than pushing the appropriate button on the controller.
