We got the wii wheel as part of the mario kart game. It only comes with one wii wheel and we have two remotes and were hoping to play multiplayer so we needed to get another wheel. When we went to get one my partner decided he wanted to buy Formula One which also came with a wheel so we decided to make do with that one rather than buy another one. Therefore, we had one wii wheel and one Formula One wheel.

However, if you do wish to buy a wii wheel they sell for around £6 now. They are quite a bit cheaper online from places such as Amazon as game shops charge nearer the £10 mark.

The wii wheel is essentially a bit of plastic which you insert the wii remote into to play particular games such as Mario Kart (we also use ours for when we play multiplayer on F1). It is easy to get the remote into the wheel, you simply take off the wii jacket and the wrist strap and slot it in the gap. The wii remote fits perfectly in the gap and the buttons line up with the buttons on the wii remote.

To use the wheel is really easy, you simply use it like you would a car steering wheel. The wii remote is sideways in the wheel and you use the buttons to make selections before racing, however once you are using the wheel to steer then you only need one button which is the B button which is easy to press when using the wheel.

I find the wheel great fun. It makes playing games such as Mario Kart so much easier, I had a go on Mario Kart at at friends house before without a wheel and I found it ever so difficult, I kept oversteering and understeering. However, with this wheel it is really simple and I find my steering to be much better. Your movements are reflected really quickly on the screen and I have never had a problem with the wheel not doing the same on screen as it has in my hand! I have found that everyone can use the wheel, my niece has one at home and she is fine with it and even my mum had a go (who is rubbish at games!) and she found it relatively easy.

I think this is the best wheel on the market, I prefer this one to the F1 wheel and always opt for this wheel when we play. It makes games really fun and makes them much easier and the wheel is great value for money. Recommended for family fun!
