As a big fan of driving games I feel it's essential to have a steering wheel, so when this little beauty caught my eye I quite happily parted with my cash. The wheel is well designed (good hand position, nice clamp mechanism, odd looking but effective pedals). It responds well and really is a pleasure to use. That is until about after three months of use it started getting temperamental. For some unknown reason the steering response started to become erratic when turning to (I think) the left. When I tried to calibrate it I could clearly see the problem - the cross was jerking all over the place even with tiny movements. But hey these things happen so I took it back for a replacement. Ah...problem solved, all working great again. Until about two months later Completely new wheel, EXACTLY the same fault. So....perhaps I was unbelievably unlucky, but I had two of these wheels and after about 2-3 months the steering becomes unusable. I have since upgraded to the Microsoft Precision wheel (followed recently by the Force feedback version) and boy - there is a very big difference between the Saitek and the Microsoft products. What a shame.
