I have had my Playstation 3 since December when I bought it on sale from Woolworths. I do use it's Blu Ray function & it is my only & main Blu Ray player. With this in mind, I decided that I should use my first DooYoo miles to buy this remote.

It is a sturdy item that fees quite solid although even with the batteries in the item is suprsingly light. All the standard PS3 buttons are there like start, select, X, 0, plus the standard DVD controls like Play & Forward.

It is very easy to connect. I thought it wasn't working at first, so I reached for the instructions. Yes ladies, I know. Why didn't you do that first? Because I'm male & 99% of the time we do not require instructions! To connect it, you got to the settings menu, then accessory settings & connect Blu Ray device. You then hold down the Start & PS button both at once until the remote is registered. Once this is done, away you go.

It works very well. As it is Blutooth & not infra-red, the signal is very strong & you don't have to aim the remote at the comsole or TV. All the buttons press down & pop out again easily & it makes watching films a lot better.

The only down side that I've found so far is that if you use the Vid Zone application (which can be downloaded for free from the NET & allows you to watch Music Vidoes) the remote doesn't work & you have to go back to the Wireless joypad. A real shame as I do enjoy watching music vids on my console.

Over all a very useful, if not essential item. Sony really ought to have packaged this in with the console. But they do like to make a little extra on the peripherals. I would recommend one to every PS3 owner
