"ChuChu Rocket!" is a video game released for the Gameboy Advance console in 2001 by Sega. It is a puzzle game and a port of an earlier Sega Dreamcast game. In the United States, the game received a rating of "E" by the ESRB panel which deemed it suitable for all ages. ChuChu Rocket is a game of cat and mouse. The player is presented a small grid from an overhead view and must allow a family of mice to escape a maze. The mice will move in linear directions until the player designates a certain direction for them to turn to, and this is done by placing an arrow tile on the grid which the mice will then run in to and change directions. Chu Chu Rocket for the Gameboy Advance was on of the first games sega released on consoles other then their own. After the discontinuation of the failed console dreamcast sega started releasing there games on other consoles. Chu Chu Rocket is a game where you direct mice to a rocket on a top down board and help them avoid space cats. This game is almost a direct port of the original version which was released on the dreamcast. In Chu Chu Rocket your goal is to guide packs of mice to escape a level as quickly as possible whilst avoiding patrolling cats. If these cats catch your mice then they will eat them lowering the amount of mice you can get to the exit. ... Read the complete review

When the original Chu Chu Rocket (which shall hereafter be referred to as C2R) came out in Japan, I rushed out and bought it. As some of you may have noticed, I have a habit of rushing out and buying strange Japanese games and C2R was no stranger than some. Basically, the idea of the Dreamcast version (and this latest version) is kind of like lemmings veiwed from above. So, space mice (or Chu Chus) run around a maze with holes, cats, rockets and walls. To win, you must place arrows to guide the mice into your rocket. The basic mode is the 4 player battle mode, where everyone is laying their own arrows to guide mice into their own rocket. ... What an obscure game! Save mice fromc tas by sending them off in a rocket? Poor little guys! And I like cats!! I heard alot about this game.. so I expect alot more than what I was issued with, and ended up very dissapointed. The idea is to save all the mice bu setting directional bloack around the map making the mice run in the direction you want them to. Think of the amazing lemmings, only way way way worse! This is sooo limited.. after a few levels you will be thinking, 'why?'. I resorted to trying to amke my won characters using the oh-so-not-simple-or-easy-to-use editor provided to give the game some sence.. It turned out to be blobs ... Read the complete review

Im sure most people have at one point played this title on the Dreamcast. Its VERY simple, but VERY addictive. Well here's what you gotta do. There are loads of mice (or CHU in japanese) who are stranded someplace and they basically run forwards, turning right whenever they hit a wall/obstruction. You have to guide them to their rocket ships by plaing directional tiles on the floor. Sometimes there are evil cats who eat the mice... you must ensure the mice do not get eaten... NOT EVEN ONE CAN BE EATEN!! Luckily the cats follow your directions too. Great features in the game include a "create a character" mode, design your own maps and ... Read the complete review
