I love Crash Bandicoot and have near enough every game out that includes him! Having bought myself a Nintendo DS I realised I could use it to play Gameboy Advance games on so this game jumped straight out at me and I had to have it. Everyone loves a good side scrolling platformer which is exactly what this port of the lovable crash bandicoot is. The graphics are some of the best seen on the GameBoyAdvance so far, including some exceptional scenes where you control crash while he is running towards you! All the elements for a good platformer are there... baddies aplenty, tons of pickups to collect, hidden areas, time trial modes. My only qualm about the game is its difficulty level, some of the levels were insultingly easy and I can understand that the shelf life of the game may be short for experienced gamers. The GBA is going from strength to strength. This is a conversion of the popular Crash Bandicoot game from the Playstation. And it loses nothing in the translation. The scrolling 3d levels have been replaced by 2d parallax scrolling backdrops, but none of the visual greatness has been lost. Crash can still move freely around the level. The game uses clever sprite scaling to give the impression of depth.
