Advantages: Phenomenal gameplay, Original and interesting storyline, Maxed out GBA graphics

Disadvantages: Price, but if you can get it in a bundle its decent, Need Spyro fusion to complete it 100%

Firstly, I bought a GBA no more than several months ago, and this particular game seemed to catch my eye as i had played all the other Crash games. So i picked it off the shelf, along with Tekken advanced (beat 'em up game) and Spyro: fusion (the counterpart of this game), paid for them of course, and never looked back since.

This is truly a GBA game to reckon with, having played all its predecessors i was pretty sure what i was in for, but to my surprise and great enjoyment, i wasn't. With crash being in Spyro's world Vivendi (the creators of both titles) have put one of the most interesting of spins on this game. i hadn't played any of the spyro games before so it was a new, and i have to say, thrilling experience to have the best of both worlds incorporated into one of the most enthusiastic GBA games so far.

In both Crash and Spyro's fusion storyline:Dr. Neo Cortex (Crash's nemesis) and Ripto (Spyro's nemesis) have coincidentally met up through underground portals and are set on taking over the entire galaxy. In an attempt to share resources and maximize their territories, Cortex and Ripto are using portals to infest both their worlds with their evil minions. Crash and Spyro must team up with each other to discover the identity of the new menace and save the universe from this evil plot!

One of the most exciting aspects of this game, are its multiplayer modes which are exciting as ever and definitely that much better than the old ones. you can go head to head in three way party games, wager games and even card trading! I personally like the card trading as you need all of them to finish the game 100%, and requires a bit of link cable swapping and wagering and are given as rewards for completing some levels and tasks in single mode.

The single game is great when your friends arent about and battling through the seemingly endless mini games will keep you occupied for hours on end. When i first got it all my best GBA games lay dorment in my sock drawer totally ignored, and rightly so too.On the flipside, Spyro in crashes world is also brilliant and to get the ultimate storyline and unlock special content and cards, both games have to be played so it is a bit costly, but well worth it if you got the cash for crash, the dough for spyro and are a keen platform performer.

Excellent GBA game, almost full marks if it wasnt for the price, it should be sold in a double bundle with Spyro: fusion in my opinion.
