"Dora's World Adventure" is a video game released for the Gameboy Advance console in 2006 by Global Star Software. It is based on the "Dora The Explorer" children's series. In the United States, the game received a rating of "E" by the ESRB panel which deemed it suitable for all ages.

The plot of the game is based on a specific "Dora The Explorer" animated television episode. In it, The Fox has stolen all of the world's friendship bracelets and Dora must recover them prior to Friendship Day. The in game world is presented as four continents and Dora must complete a maze and mini game on each continent to recover a set amount of bracelets. Both features are incredibly easy and do not offer the player any noteworthy challenge, although this does keep with a child friendly market. The mini game on each continent is the same where the player must press the "A" button when a scrolling dot reaches the centre of a gauge. This is not difficult as it is very similar to most golfing titles in accurately placing a shot.

The graphics are presented from a side scrolling view which focus on Dora The Explorer in action. Character animations are quite good and are large enough to clearly distinguish between them. Dora also features her recognizable pink top and orange shorts. I did not find the audio to be particularly noteworthy in this title. Simple musical scores and effects follow the player though these are very generic and do not really appeal to me as a listener.

Overall, Dora's World Adventure is a very short and easy title which would likely only appeal to younger fans of the animated series. It offers no challenge and only really serves as an outlet for developers to capitalize on Dora's image.

Summary: Thumbs down
