It is a racing game and sequel to "Championship Racing" released one year prior. In the United States, the game received a rating of "E" by the ESRB panel which deemed it suitable for all ages. The main hindrance of Championship Racing was its password save feature. After each race, the player would be presented with a strand of text which required writing down in aims of unlocking a specific car, parts upgrade or racing course.
