superb graphics for a handheld system with a good control system and the option of the multiplayer - Advantages: one of the first games to offer a 3D environment on handheld system, challenging with good replay value, option of multi player link up - Disadvantages: enemies are not in 3D, must be played in good light as some sections are very dull

I was reading a GBA magazine a few months before i purchased this title, and i read the article saying how a First Person Shooter (FPS) could not possibly be done on the Game Boy Advance..... That of course , was completely wrong. Its not just that it can be done, its that it can be done, has been done, and has been done WELL!! Ecks Vs Sever is one of the GBA's first shooters, and i managed to pick it up for a budget £25. I bought this game a month ago form WH Smith for only £29.99. It is a brilliant game. It does not have the cult status of doom but it has a very similar platform but just far better graphics!! In the game you can choose between two secret agents; Jonathan Eck-an FBI agent who is emotionally scarred after the loss of his family Sever-Rogue NSA Agent who is seeking retribution on the government that betrayed her! Each agent has a different set of levels which progress to get harder and harder.
