Iridion 3-D (GBA)

"Iridion 3-D" is a video game released for the Gameboy Advance console in 2001 by Interplay. It is the first in a series of "Iridion" video games. In the United States, the game received a rating of "E" by the ESRB panel which deemed it suitable for all ages. The Earth has been invaded by hostile Iridion forces and it is the player's objective to eradicate them. Piloting a small space craft, the player will venture into outer space in a game similar to a traditional arcade game. An good first attempt at this style of game, but could be much much better. It is basically a 'dodge n shoot' type game, where you fly through a series of tube like halls and thru stars and things shooting the crazzy things you encounter or simply moving out of their way. The graphics are quite impressinve for a first try, but dont quite push over the 3D effect overly well, oh exept the scrollign wheen in the main menu, thats rather nice.. but useless to the game. I think it has opened a window for some very good titles in the future when people ahve really got to grip with the power of the gameboy.. lets just hope that this happens soon. ...  Read the complete review
