Advantages: Good Graphics, Replay Value

I have always loved the Mario series and, once i had played super Mario Kart For the SNES, I was addicted. It's simplicity and ease was so good. So when I unwrapped Mario Kart super curcuit on christmas day I was extactic.
Gameplay
Before I start I will just run-over the main points of the game before i start giving you my hard core opinion.
There are three types of game to play on MKSC:
1: Mario GP, which is a cup tournament (I'll tell you about that in a minute)
2: Time Trial, which is, if you haven't guessed, 3 or 5 laps (It's your choice)around a track to see how fast you can do it,
3: Quick Run, which is a single race of your choice, i.e Mario circuit.
Well, like the original Mario Kart, there are 3 difficulty levels. 50cc is the easiest(for all of you beginners or if you just want an easy win),100cc is the middle one (for all of you who think your better than 50 but not good enough for 150) and 150cc is the hardest(which it is almost impossible to get gold and 100 coin at the same time.Now if only anybody knew what cc meant...
Now I'll talk about the cups. There are 5 cups, Mushroom, Flower, Lightning, Star, and one secret, the Super Cup. Each cup has 4 different tracks. In each race you must come 4th or better to move on to the next track. After the four tracks have been finished, the player with the highest amount of points is awarded the gold trophy, 2nd gets the silver trophy, and 3rd takes the bronze trophy. See the table below to see what you get when you come in certain positions....
1st place: 9 pts
2nd place: 6 pts
3rd place: 3 pts
4th place: 1 pt
Mario Kart Super Circuit is different from all the other racing games. One big thing that makes the game stand out are the items you get along a race. These are used, most of the time, to knock the other racers off course. A few of these weapons are:
Mushroom: speeds you up for about 2 secon
ds
Red Shell: like a homing missile, but in the form of a shell. Sort of
Lightning: makes all the others small.
These make the game more fun and interesting than your average racer. All the others are rubbish.
Matthew Guide To Mario Kart Super Circuit
1: get your GBA and MKSC
2: Put MKSC in the bank, making sure the sticker is facing so you can see it and it is the right way up
3: turn on the GBA by the thing at the bottom
4:Wait until a screen saying 'Mario Kart Super CIrcuit comes on with all mario related characters on comes on the screen.
5: press the A button on the thing that says Single Player
6: Select Mario GP
7: Choose the difficulty of your choice
8: Choose the charcter of your choice
9: Choose the Cup Of your choice.
10: When the track comes on get ready.
11: When the green light signals... GO!
12: try to collect as many coins as possible.
13: when you see them little boxex wit the ? on them drive into one.
14: Now your got one, go drive into the nearest wall.
15: NO NOT REALLY! You'll of lost the race now. (HEHEHE!)
16: an icon will appear at the top as to which weapon you got.
press R1 to use it.
17: win the race!
if you do this for the next 3 tracks ( except for the first few and and numbers 14 and 15) you will of won gold!
I haven't had chance to play a multiplayer game, but I have heard some good things about it. Sounds very fun...
Just one thing before I move on:
this game is very addictive. It's like a drug. You start with a little bit then you just want more anad more.... I haven't been really addicted to a game for ages... I think you might get the idea that I think games being addictive is good.
Well, that does it for gameplay. Overall, Mario Kart Super Circuit is a very fun game.
Graphics
These look so much like the N64 version's it's not even f
unny. Everything is very detailed and 3-D: say goodbye to old gaming; welcome to the future!
Sound
Also very, very nice. Almost every track has its own background tune, and it does'nt sound so fake anymore, like they do on the old GameBoys. There are also some nicely done sound effects, such as different gibberish the characters say when they get passed on the track or when you select them on the 'Choose a Character' part. Also, the various sounds that the carts make when you drive them on different surfaces are cool.
Replay Value
You can play this game as many times as you want, and the addictivnous will die down. However, the time when you don't want to play MKSC anymore will never come. There's so much to do to keep you busy.
