"Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure" is a video game released for the Gameboy Advance console in 2001 by Interplay. It is based on the "Pitfall" series of video games. In the United States, the game received a rating of "E" by the ESRB panel which deemed it suitable for all ages. The gameplay of this title follows the story of Pitfall Harry Jr. His father has been kidnapped by a Mayan warrior and it is up to the player as Harry's son to recover him. It should be noted that I loved Pitfall when I was growing up, I had it for the Megadrive and always enjoyed playing it, so when it was released on the handheld I thought it was pretty cool, until I played it, The gameboy advance is a funny little creature, it throws up amazing games like Super Mario World and then theres game such as this, in comparison Pitfall looks about 10 years dated. I know it was never gonna have Mario budget but still.
