Pokemon Fire Red is a remake of the classic Pokemon series for the Gameboy Advance. The games story has you start out as a young trainer in Pallet Town and are given a Pokemon by Professor Oak, your goal is to travel the world of Kanto and catch all 150 of the worlds Pokemon as well as battle and collect all the badges from the Gym leaders and eventually challenge the Elite Four themselves. Pokemon became a worldwide craze at the end of the nineties. Based on the hugely successful Japanese anime of the same name the roleplaying games in which players can travel through a virtual Pokemon world capturing the monsters and battling other trainers just like the show itself were instant successes and have just spawned their 4th generation on the Nintendo DS. Pokemon has proved itself to be a timeless classic, thanks to its original idea (at the time), fantastic gameplay mechanics and simple yet robust story. Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green allow players to relive that charming experience offered by the original Pokemon games, Red and Blue, on the Gameboy Advance. Graphics The 2D graphics are very good. The game uses a good range of colours and, while being vibrant, the backgrounds are slightly 'washed out' and by no means bright. Pokemon Fire Red is a remake of the original pokemon red from back in the days of the old game boy. This classic is finally brought back to life, and to colour screens for the true fans to enjoy. The game brings back old memories of first meeting Prof.Oak and his grandson Gary. It also brings back the feel of the first time you played the pokemon games, that feeling of excitement as you strive out into the pokemon world with your first partner.
