Premium Review Pokémon: Ruby (GBA): Gotta catch them all! (357 words)
by - written on 10/10/09 (Very useful, 31 readings)
Rating:

Pokémon Ruby is part of the very successful Pokémon series which has included trading cards, a rubbish TV show, movies and video games! This is one of the video games for the Game Boy Advance. Pokémon games are role playing games (RPGS) and are developed by Nintendo. The story is similar to other Pokémon games where you start off as a rookie trainer in Hoenn (the region) You then get your first Pokémon and you go on a quest to win the Pokémon League and catch them all! Along the way you will come across the bad guys: Team Magma and Team Aqua who are both trying to destroy the world. Aqua are going to do this with a legendary water Pokémon while Magma using ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Time to buy more pokeballs.. (575 words)

Rating:

Pokémon Ruby is the first Pokémon RPG for the GBA and 3rd generation of the series. The graphics and colors are much more advanced than previous games. Buildings and characters are more detailed. You're getting a good 30 hours or so of gameplay. Like the second generation, it also brings in a heap of new features that expand on what you can do and also deepens strategic aspects. *Story* This time around you're in a whole new region known as Hoenn. Team Rocket may have been the villains in the last 2 generations, but this time around Team Magma and Team Aqua are bent on remolding the world using the legendary monsters Groudon and Kyogre. The total number ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Pokémon: Ruby (GBA): Same Game, Different Colour (351 words)
by - written on 19/08/08 (Very useful, 40 readings)
Rating:

One of the many forms that the Pokémon game has taken over the last decade, Ruby and Emerald are pretty much more of the same. The games are sister titles, by the way, meaning that they have exactly the same gameplay experience but some of the Pokémon that you are trusted to collect are different. Like all Pokémon games, if you want your trainer to be able to capture 'em all, you need a friend with the other version of the game. You buy Ruby, he'll buy Emerald. Sorry if I've skipped ahead. If you're not sure what Pokémania is all about, the game is a basic role-playing experience. Your character has only one desire in life - to collect, train and breed a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Gotta catch some more! (442 words)

Rating:

Pokemon Ruby is a role playing game developed by Nintendo for the Gameboy Advance. The storyline will be a little familiar to series veterans but I'll explain it anyway, you start off as a rookie Pokemon trainer in the world of Hoenn given your first Pokemon by Professor Birch who you save from wild Pokemon. Your journey is to become a Pokemon master by conquering all the battle Gyms around Hoenn and challenging the Elite Four. Along the way you will come across tricky new villains Team Aqua and Team Magma who both want to destroy the world either by reclaiming the world with Lava from a volcano or flooding the land with water and resurrecting ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Pokémon: Ruby (GBA): Pokemon Ruby Game Nintendo (220 words)
by - written on 14/04/09 (Useful, 14 readings)
Rating:

Pokémon Ruby:- Was designed by Nintendo and is more challenging than some of the other Pokémon games. It is however exactly the same as Pokémon sapphire so I would not recommend that you buy the both of them. The only difference is that Pokémon Ruby contains the legendary Pokémon Groudon and Pokémon Sapphire contains the legendary Pokémon kyogre. Although Pokémon ruby is thoroughly enjoyable and offers many hours of entertainment for children of all ages I would have to say that although excellent Pokémon Emerald is a better investment. I say this because you can have all three of the legendary Pokémon which you can't on this one unless you trade with ...  Read the complete review
