I have played pokemon's GBA games long long time ago, since the version of red/blue and then yellow followed by crystal/gold and now it's sapphire/ruby. All of them are kind of RPG games-role playing games, begin with main character, can be a boy or a girl. Main character is named by you and you will control him/ her through our the game. In this version-Ruby/Sapphire, after chosing your character, you will then be introduced all the instructions about the game and introduction about the game's world( It's different from our world though^^) by a professor a called Birch who is studying about Pokemon(pocket monster). Afterward, you'll have to face a difficult situation, ... Read the complete review

This review is for Pokemon Emerald, it's like a best of of the Pokemon Ruby and the Pokemon Sapphire games. Introduction Pokemon Emerald was bought out in the UK in 2005 for the Game Boy Advance (GBA). As with all Game Boy games you can use them on new platforms that are released, for example: A GBA game works in a Nintendo DS and DS lite A Gameboy Color game works in a GBA, a Nintendo DS and DS lite A Gameboy game works in a Gameboy Color, a GBA, a Nintendo DS and DS lite Very handy to know as Nintendo don't tend to make many of the classic games for their newer platforms. I bought my copy of Pokemon Emerald second-hand ... Read the complete review

Ah, Pokemon. It seems to have taken over the world. You cant go anywhere without seeing something related to it, the trading cards, the movies, TV shows and plushies of that ever annoying Pokemon Pikachu. With the craze that has swallowed the world the public eye perceives Pokemon as childish and simple. While some of the merchandise do little to dispel that viewpoint it is the games that started off Pokemon and it is because of these that the mania started off. So they must have been doing something right. For those people who have yet to hear about Pokemon and the lucky parents that have not had ... Read the complete review

It was a brave decision from Nintendo to take Pokemon away from the craze that made it their second largest selling franchise. Pokemon Sapphire has removed 80% of the Pokemon that we will all remember from the original classics, there are no guest appearances from Ash, Oak, Misty, Brock etc? and Pikachu is a mere footnote in the Safari zone. Sapphire no longer resembles the phenomenon that grasped the world in the late 90?s but instead one of the million clones that tried to leach off its success. It?s Nintendo?s way of making Pokemon a game franchise to itself rather than a game suffocating in card?s, soft cuddly toys and God-awful cartoons. That?s not ... Read the complete review

Just when you thought it was safe to put down your GBA, along comes Pokemon Sapphire and its twin, Pokemon Emerald. For those die-hard Pokemon fans, this game offers much cleaner game play with new bells and whistles, for example the movement of the pokemon in battle. There are also new elements to the game, contests for you to enter your pokemon into, you can become a gardener and cultivate berries, the berries can be used to mix special "pokeblocks" which your little friends will eat, giving them more strength, beauty etc to help win those contests. This is not a short game to play, for once you have beaten all 8 gyms and the Elite 4, ... Read the complete review
