Pokemon Silver is an excellent pokemon game for the Gameboy Advance, but it can also be played on later consoles such as the Nintendo DS. It's a great version as it was the first one where you could save peoples numbers and it has many cool features and things to do within the game such as competitions and new places to visit. You can also buy a bicycle to get around quicker.

You play as a pokemon trainer and go around the world catching different pokemon and training to become the best. However, you meet enemies along the way such as Team Rocket, who you battle against. The battling screen is quite good and has simple visual and sound effects to make it a little more exciting.

You can catch pokemon and level them up as they gain experience from battles. They can then learn new moves and they become stronger in their attributes. The way you level them up and make them stronger to take on harder trainers and bosses is what makes the game so addicting. You fight through several towns as well as places in-between them. There is a mission with each town that you visit or some sort of story, which makes the game quite exciting too and gives a lot more gameplay.

With the ability to buy items at PokeMarts and large shopping stores, you can battle to make enough money to earn several things and progress through the game. You can connect consoles to battle friends too. The graphics aren't too bad considering how old the game is and you can buy it really cheap now and play it on later consoles too. I'd recommend it as it's really fun and addicting too!
