Pop Idol (GBA)

"Pop Idol" is a video game released for the Gameboy Advance console in 2003 by Codemasters. It is based on the television series of the same name. In the United States, the game received a rating of "E" by the ESRB panel which deemed it suitable for all ages. In terms of gameplay, Pop Idol plays very similar to such button based games as "PaRappa The Rapper" (Playstation - 1997). I never did watch Pop Idol but the game - like the contestants which turn up at these talent contests - would always get a chance. Popstar is a rhythm game by Rockstar Leeds (of all developers!) where you press and hold buttons as a box moves over them, and it's straightforward as it only involves two buttons. On choosing one of the three play modes, you then get to change the appearance of your character.
