If you grew up in the late 80's or early 90's then it is very likely that the spiky blue hedgehog known as Sonic played a huge part in your childhood. Not only Sonic, but his sidekick Tails, the evil mastermind Doctor Robotnik and a whole collection of other characters too. After the popularity of the Sega Genesis and later Sega consoles died out with the release of the Nintendo '64 and other platforms, Sonic went with it.
