"The Incredibles" is a video game released for the Gameboy Advance console in 2004 by THQ. It is a side scrolling fighting game based on a film of the same name. In the United States, the game received a rating of "E" by the ESRB panel which deemed it suitable for all ages.

In this title, players assume the role mostly as Mr. Incredible but will also see some stages as Frozone, Helen Incredible, Violet and Dash. The game is spread over 40 stages and it is the player's sole objective to navigate from left to right while fighting an assortment of enemies from the film. I did not find the game to be particularly rewarding to complete but it is likely that more involved fans of the film would enjoy this title. The gameplay is also very easy in terms of difficulty. I was met by little challenge and found myself making use of my character's basic attack. Each character has its own unique ability, for example Mr. Incredible has access to super-human strength, but I did not put these features to use as I found few areas which required them. These unique abilities seem to serve as character development as opposed to any sort of in-game functionality.

The graphics are presented from a side scrolling perspective which focuses on the character in play. One thing I liked about this title was its strong attention to the character design. Each individual sports a very distinct comic book like flair which is very pleasing on the eyes. This is likewise complimented in the background scenes which are assorted in their location, including the depths or caves or jungle scenarios. The soundtrack is not quite as inspired. I did not note any theme tunes from the film which were instead substituted for simple action-based musical scores and generic "scratch" tones to denote physical contact.

Overall, The Incedibles is as an average at best movie tie-in which may only see success with fans of the film. I found the game to be too easy for my preference and would be hesitant about recommending it to those seeking a challenge.
