If there was only one game I could have for the Game Boy Advance, it would have to be Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2, simply because it’s one of the best console games around thanks to intuitive and original gameplay, stunning graphics and it’s such an addictively playable title. So, I ended up selecting the world’s greatest extreme sports game around, and it’s fantastic. At around £30 - £35 per game, be sure to buy something that’ll last more than an hour of play. Tony Hawk’s in one such game that is worth every penny. It is ‘different’ to the PlayStation/Dreamcast and PC versions, but it’s undeniably impressive. ... Read the complete review

What can one say about Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 that will influence anyone to purchase it? After all, you’ve all heard of it, it’s one of the best games available on any platform and should be in your games collection right now if it isn’t already!! After the huge success of the original, it would seem daft not to capitalize even further on a lucrative market for great playing games, so it was unsurprising that THPS 2 was brought out last year. It is a truly magnificent game – both on Dreamcast and Playstation (and Game Boy Colour!). Seeing that I own a Dreamcast, I’m going to tell you all that I know about the game. Have fun reading! ... Wow, finally the second installment of Tony Hawks has arrived. With it it brings the great gameplay, easy to pick up controls and great graphics. The first Tony Hawks was a great original game that some thought wouldnt be able to improve on. Well those people have been proved wrong Tony Hawks two has better graphics bigger levels and a different style of game, were in the first game your stats went up when you had completed objectives but in the second one you get money for completeing objectives so that you can buy stats better tricks and different boards. The levels are absolutely huge for example the school level there are two secret areas which in it have a swimming ... Read the complete review

All these people into 'extreme sports', I've never really understood them. Jumping out of a plane with a surfboard strapped to your feet or careering down a mountain highway attached to a tin tray with trolley wheels. There is a fine line between extreme and insane. Maybe this is why extreme sports video games have come unstuck so many times in the past. Game programmers can't hope to recreate the raw fear and adrenaline rush felt by those who partake in such activities and nor would most gamers want them to. People play games for fun, not to accurately simulate reality and herein lies the beauty of the 'Tony Hawks Pro Skater' games. When the ... Read the complete review

Now Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 is one of the best games on any console, and it is on a fair number of consoles – Game Boy Advance, Dreamcast and PlayStation. The best version - is that of the Dreamcast, although the cleverest has to be on the teeny Game Boy, but anyway, I think the Dreamcast version surpasses the other two, it may also be on the N64, but I could be mistaking it for the original Tony Hawk’s. If it weren’t for the amazing skills of people like Tony Hawk, the game would never have been created & Skateboarding would never have become so popular. Hands up everyone who takes several glances at those teenagers who skate around ... Read the complete review
