I have played this game for a few months and to be honest I don't think that it is that good compared to the other wario series. The gameplay is a little bit the same as the Mario games. You can get hurt, of course, but there are some enemies that can help you in the game if you get attacked by them. For instance, a bat. If you get attacked by a bat, you will get turned into a bat your self, so you can fly to hidden areas and stuff. When you get to the end of the level, you might think to yourself "that was a piece a cake". But it doesn't end here. At the end of the level there is a detonator in which you have to press. It's nice to have a game with the bad guy as the good guy once in a while. Playing this game was fun. There are only 20 odd levels, which is only just long enough for you to get your value for money. Wario is Mario's enemy, and Wario obviously loves the junk food more than Mario (his stomach wobbles as he runs). In this game, Wario wants gold, and while on a casual hike through the jungle stumbles upon a never-seen-before gigantic golden pyramid. Warioland 4 is the first platfomer to leave its mark on the G.B.A unlike Super Mario Advance which was only brought because it was the only decent game available at the time. But believe me Warioland 4 will have you laughing, crying and your fingers swollen and red by the time you are finished with it. The graphics are the best part of the game. Now not only is Wario in glorious color, but there are small details in the foreground and background that makes the game a 32-bit treat for the eyes.
