Blue is a role playing adventure developed by Nintendo for the Gameboy The story of Pokemon Blue follows your character who you can name as he starts his Pokemon journey, from his humble beginnings in Pallet Town as he journeys around the region of Kanto to collect all 8 of the Gym badges and defeat the Elite Four and become a Pokemon Master! It is a rather basic plotline but it suits the basic nature of the game well and it does keep you playing. Gameplay is done by exploring the world of Kanto, the game is linear and you usually have a set path to go down to advance the story. Nintendo Gameboy (GB) ... the Nintendo Gameboy. I first got given one of these as a christmas pressie when I was 9 and I absolutely loved it! My mum had bought it second hand (they were very expensive to buy new at the time) and it came with 9 games, most of which I can t remember but I did have Tetris (excellent), Mario Land (excellent) and Bubble Bobble (rubbish!). I couldn t have been happier on christmas morning. The batteries lasted around 5 hours and thats 4 x AA batteries! Kids would laugh if you told them that now. Because the console was so big too you used to get hand ache where the corner would press into your palm! The games you could get for this were really good. Lots of choice ... Pokemon Yellow - Special Pikachu Edition (GB) ... up alot now since I first played this pokemon game but I still havent grown out of playing the games, they are so addictive. I love coming back to this game and doing it again. For me this has to be one of the best pokemon games out there because you have pikachu following you everywhere, how cool is that? you dont see that these days. But seriously, this game has quite a long life span for its generation and is still fun to play in this age. You start an adventure to catch all 151 pokemon and become the pokemon master and you do this with pikachu with you all the time.
