Nintendo Gameboy (GB):
... mother In law bought my son (now 7 years old) a Gameboy colour when he was 5 years old. At the time I groaned inwardly thinking that it was not a 'good' toy for a 5 year old, albeit that he was already heavily into computers and was easily capable of playing with the games. I thought that it would do him no good whatsoever - but..... With the gameboy came pokemon blue - anyone that has played this g... Read the full review: Bad for Kids ?????? by AnnieK |

Aliens Thanatos Encounter (GB) ... one who love the second aliens film will instantly want this game after seeing the picture on the back off the box, of a marine holding the signature 'Pulse Rifle'. But before you give into your cravings, there are a few things that need to be said about this game. Firstly a quick synopsis. The story behind the game is that a group of hard ass marines are traveling home from a training exercise. They recieve a distress call from a large cargo ship, and, because they really do love civilians, respond to this call. What they find is that the ships crew is in tatters and the ship has been taken over by Xenomorphs. This involves lots of blasting aliens... Super Mario Bros. Deluxe (GB) ... received my first games console at the age of 7, the NES, and with it came Super Mario Bros. Unlike the games of today that only hold your interest for a few weeks, this one kept me going for over a year. So, you can imagine my excitement when I saw that it was being re-released for the GBC. This deluxe edition contains the original game converted perfectly onto the small screen, with every detail as I remember it. I wasn't sure that I would be prepared to play through it again, having done so - several times - all those years ago. But the timeless gameplay still grabs you, and again I was enjoying it once more. There are a huge number of extras included, too,... Read the full review: Classic gameplay re-visited by Stalin |

Tetris DX. (GB) ... was the first game ever released for the original GameBoy, and in my opinion it was one of the best. Now, Tetris DX is the first game released for the GameBoy Color, and - you guessed it - it's one of the best. The concept is simple. Blocks of various shapes fall from the top of the screen, and by rotating and moving them you must form rows as they land. A complete row disappears. More rows cleared simultaneously means more points. This simple gameplay has remained unchanged for all this time, and it is still one of the most addictive formulas ever. By far, the biggest amount of time I have spent on any game *ever* is Tetris - no joke. It just never gets ... Read the full review: Pure class by Stalin |
