... often necessary jump function is used by pressing the up arrow on the D-Pad. There is little to be achieved other than progressing through the levels and eliminating the various vampire foes. Skill wise, it is very simple as Buffy features a "sweep" attack executed by holding the down arrow and tapping the "B" button. "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" is a side-scrolling action game based on the television series of the same name. In it, the player controls the main character Buffy and guides her through various levels while combating the forces of vampires in keeping with the television series. The game begins with the player reading through comic-book like images of Buffy bantering with friends. It seems that one of her friends has been embraced by supernatural evil and is under its control. Buffy then proceeds to begin her adventure on "graveyard patrol".
