Advantages: Cheap, Lasts long, Good story line

Donkey Kong Country has to be one of the best plat formers for the game boy. There are two different things to do on it, the main one being adventure mode and there?s also fishing.

Adventure Mode

This mode lets you choose from being either Donkey or Diddy Kong, with one of these two characters you have to move along the level trying to get as many bananas as you can. You are faced with a number of baddies which you can deal with by doing either Donkeys roll or Diddys kart wheel into them, Or you just jump on them, this also gives you a bigger jump if your wanting to get on to any hanging ropes which sometimes lead to extra mini bonus levels. These sometimes give you extra lives or you sometimes become:
Rhambi the Rhino: a rhino that can't be killed by any of the baddies, however, it doesn't have a very high jump.
Engaurde the Frog: a frog that can jump higher than the two kongs jumps put together.
Sqauwks the Bird: This bird can fly for short lengths of time, usually allowing you to skip most of the level.
On the way you will be faced by a boss at the end of each level. These bosses aren't very hard and usually you just need to jump on them a few times. However, this changes when you?re put against the final boss and he will take you a lot of time to kill. And after this you still haven't completed the whole games because if you want to complete this you need to find every hidden bonus level.

DK Country is one of the best plat formers for the game boy and is great value for money. It will last you ages and even when you do complete it there?s bonus levels for you to do. I would recommend this to most people for I don't think you need to like plat formers to like this game.
