... noticeable flaw I observed while playing, likely only affected on the Gameboy Color release, is that the player can simply "fly" at the bottom of the screen while collecting scientists. This will avoid all enemy contact and make gameplay overly simple. For point accumulation, though, it would be necessary to fly towards the middle or top of the display and engage enemies. "Dropzone" is a horizontal scrolling shoot-'em-up based on a long standing game of the same name. In this title, players control an astronaut who is on a rescue mission to save scientists from an invading alien force. In keeping with the original titles, gameplay is relatively simple considering its original release date in the mid 1980s. Players will guide their astronaut using the up, down and right keys across a designated area while collecting scientists simply by "flying into" them.
