"Duke Nukem" is a two dimensional platform adventure game for the Gameboy Color console. In this, players control Duke Nukem who is on a standard science-fiction plot to save the world from invading robot forces as deployed by Dr. Proton. This Gameboy Color title appears to be a parody of the "second episode" for the personal computer where Duke is transported to Dr. Proton's moonbase. Gameplay keeps with its original humble roots in two dimensional gaming. Players must guide Duke across a series of playing stages while combating robot forces using the heavy arms which he has access to. It is a typical platform title but also makes a wide ... I remember this game very well indeed! I was a Sega Megadrive owner when this game was originally released in the early 90's, but it got a second chance at life as bonus content on the third game of it's series; 'Duke Nukem 3D', in the later mid 90's (for the PC). I'm swear, I'm not lying, that I found the original Duke Nukem game far more satisfying than the cool but fancy third sequel. The second sequel 'Duke Nukem 2' was similar to the first, but nowhere near as addictive as the first either. Most PC users will be well aware of Duke Nukem and his exploits, but maybe not too familiar with the original two games in the series. I suppose this series of games really hit the big time with the coming of Duke Nukem 3D which played like Quake but with a wicked meat-headed sense of humour. Quake had the nailgun...DN3D had the Duke's size 9 hobnailed boot, strippers, toilets you could actually use...well DN3D was a lot of childish fun. The original Duke Nukem games however were a couple of puzzle/platform/shoot-em up games which you can probably find knocking around the net for a free download right about now. You can also purchase at least the first in ... Read the complete review

Murderous aliens have landed in Los Angeles, and the human race suddenly finds it self atop the endangered species list. It is all up to duke nukem to stop the onslaught against earth. Duke nukem 3d has three different episodes to choose from and for difficulty levels. There are nine different types of enemy that the duke has to stop, like all other fighting games you will have to find better guns to survive. Quite good game you will enjoy killing anything that gets in your way. ... Read the complete review
