"Hollywood Pinball" is a video game released for the Gameboy Color console in 1999 by Take Two Interactive. It is an arcade game with pinball as its central feature. I could not immediately find an age rating but would likely find this to be suitable for all ages.

Hollywood Pinball is a typical "pinball" title and features numerous film inspired pinball tables for the player to play on, such as an oceanic/shark table which clearly reflects "Jaws" and a prehistoric dinosaur table which reflects "Jurassic Park". There does not appear to be any particular storyline surrounding this title. It is simply a matter of playing pinball in attempts to build up the highest score and being immortalized in the three character name entry. The controls are simple with both "A" and "B" controlling the paddles. More effort is required by the user when deciding where to strategically place a ball, as certain features of the table such as bumpers and flippers will increase the available points when trying to reach a high score.

I find the graphics to be of a good standard. Each table features distinct colouring and other features which all fill the display throughout play. I did find the detailing of the ball to be slightly odd. Instead of a typical glimmering silver object, it is a solid black ball which is almost cannonball-like in appearance. While this does stand out from the table settings it does not immediately strike me as being appropriate for pinball. The audio is also of a good standard with catchy compositions that accompany the quick paced arcade play well.

Overall, Hollywood Pinball is an average pinball title which could be seen as appealing in shorter bursts. There is little to actually engage with besides playing a simple game of pinball and this in itself offers little replay value for extended periods.
