The level design is acceptable and features a wide range of appropriate colours and other objects to suit certain areas. One annoyance is the James Bond satellite positioning system which is nothing more than a blanking dot in the display, not offering much use or guidance to the player. The audio is also of an acceptable quality...more

Rating:

"James Bond 007" is a video game released for the Gameboy Color console in 1998 by Nintendo. It is based on the popular film character of the same name. In the United States, the game received a rating of "E" by the ESRB panel which deemed it suitable for all ages. The player assumes the role of James Bond and guides him through a strategic adventure in aims of dismantling an arms smuggling ring. While the popular Nintendo 64 counterpart "Goldeneye" mostly revolved around blasting the bad guys into oblivion, 007 makes a roleplaying type environment by allowing Bond to travel to various locations and complete various tasks in order ...  Read the complete review

I recently bought James Bond 007 thinkinging it would me a shoot em up action game, but to my disappointment it was no more than a poor quality frustrating puzzle adventure. I thought that the game was hard to controll and it was lacking fun and excitement. I would rather play Waverace. I would definatly not recommend this game to a friend as it only kept me entertained for about 10 minutes. Therefore i will most definatly be taking the game back to the shop as soon as possible. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Is that a secret agent in your pocket... (239 words)

Rating:

....or are you just pleased to see me? It's obvious that Bond for the gameboy is trying to cash in on the success of Goldeneye for the N64, but it is a good game in it's own right, and isn't just a cheap cash in, which is nice for gameboy games these days. From the classic bond intro to the international meetings with Q and the hat throwing bad guy, this is your own little secret agent adventure you can take on holiday with you. The game is your standard adventure/rpg fare, done well with everything you would expect and a few nice extras. Unfortunatly it's not all good. 007 is not a color game, and although the graphics are fairly polished ...  Read the complete review
