... Unfortunately, though, that is where the praise ceases. This game was originally seen as a Super Nintendo release which had much success on that platform. When being converted to a smaller display on the Gameboy it failed to have the same impact. Gameplay itself comes across as being very choppy and fragmented, making it difficult to be on the pitching and catching section of the inning. "Ken Griffey Jr.'s Slugfest" is a video game released for the Gameboy Color console in 1999 by Nintendo. It is a sports title with baseball being represented. In the United States, the game received a rating of "E" by the ESRB panel which deemed it suitable for all ages. There are various modes of play for the player to engage with in this title. From simple exhibition matches, a full tournament mode known as the "World Series" and a simple home run derby which seems to be more of a practice mode.
