Having had my GBA for a few months I have been looking for a sports game that would last a while and be great value for money. Having looked around at the GBA and GBC market i decided to go for Mario Golf. If anyone remembers the original gameboy golf, then this is not too far away from that version, apart from its been supped up to make it a modern classic. Lets look what the game has: 5 Courses, each getting progressivly more difficult and harder to play. The new courses only open up once you have won certain tournements and matchup's. You can play single player mode, practice mode, challange mode (the pro's), tourney mode, help mode, and ... Read the complete review

I was overejoyed when people finally started playing the GameBoy again, after the release of Pokemon. It is always going to have the most playable games because it doesn't rely on fancy flashy graphics to sell games. Mario Golf, the old one, was released a long time ago, when the gameboy was the most advanced system out. This game has actually got OK graphics but you don't really need more than that for a golf game. In Mario Golf you get to courses to play, the USA and Japan and, like most golf courses, they have 18 holes each. This may not seem a lot but even PS and PC games have only 5 courses. It pioneered the control method of ... Read the complete review

Mario has done it again with another successful game for the Game Boy colour! I am not usually a fan of golfing games but to my suprise I liked this one and was hooked for a good few hours. You have quite a range of courses you can play, and although I thought the controls would be tricky I found that they were quite easy to get into and once you have got the hang of them you can play the game quite quickly. When I played the level games, (in which you have to complete one course before you can proceed to the next,) I got bored quickly as you are basically doing the same thing over and over again. But overall this game was very good and alot better than I ... Read the complete review

Mario Golf is simply one of the finest golf games that i have ever played. Nintendo have managed to make Mario Golf appealing even if you have never actually played the sport before. Firstly the game is fiendishly addictive. You can play for 3 minutes or 3 hours if you like. To do this Nintendo have included lots of play modes ranging from playing single holes, to sub games where you have to clear an area to the tortuous RPG mode where you take part in tournaments. By finishing tournaments you get experience points which you can use to improve your player's skill. Points can be used to make the player hit further or have more control, etc. the choice is ... "Mario Golf" is a video game released for the Gameboy Color console in 1999 by Nintendo. It features characters from the popular "Super Mario Brothers" video game series. In the United States, the game received a rating of "E" by the ESRB panel which deemed it suitable for all ages. Mario Golf was one of the more innovative titles at the time of release. The idea of pitting Super Mario in sports related scenarios was not a new one, but Mario Golf attempted to revive and bring motion to what would become a solid series of games. The game is a more "compressed" version of the Nintendo 64 counterpart but remains an ... Read the complete review
