The sound effects are also appropriate with various "pops" after each ball strike. I would recommend Mario Tennis to prospective buyers. While it may lack the advanced technology of the Nintendo 64 version, the Gameboy Color release is of an excellent standard and remains an enjoyable play through use of the second player option....more

"Mario Tennis" is a video game released for the Gameboy Color console in 2001 by Nintendo. It features popular characters from the "Super Mario Brothers" series of video games. For example choose Donkey Kong and hit the ball against a wall of moving bananas to score points. Once you’ve ...

I've always been a fan of "fun" tennis games (ones that aren't too realistic) and provided you like this type of game you should enjoy Mario Tennis. Despite being called Mario Tennis if you play the main mode of the game you will probably see little of the mario characters in comparison to normal humans. --RPG Elements-- The game adds a number of RPG elements to the normal tennis game which helps to make you feel you are actually achieving something when you complete a task or win a match. Rather than just playing a game and having it have no impact on ...
